This cafe table is made from a piece of Spalted Ash harvested off of our farm. This tree had been killed by the emerald ash borer. Spalting is the discoloration of the wood caused by fungi attacking the dead tree. If harvested at the right time, the uniqueness of the color changes is vivid and the wood is still strong. Table is poured with epoxy and has a gloss polyurethane finish. Steel skirt was handmade by Chodd. Features black Alder (wood) table legs.
Dimensions – 14 inches wide (narrowing at one end) x 82 inches long x 31 inches
high. (Ash board is about 1 inch thick.)
