“Brown” and Beautiful Bar

Ty and Mickey Brown chose four different wood types for use in the bar. The walls are made of rustic hickory tongue and groove paneling. The back bar (sink) top as well as the face frame and drawer fronts are made with spalted maple. The doors below the sink have book matched center panels made with highly figured Carpathian Elm. Spalted maple tongue and groove paneling was installed horizontally to cover the front and side bar. The front and side bar tops are made with book matched ash inlaid with turquoise and some arrowheads, most of which Ty found while working the farm fields. The shelves on the wall above the back bar are also made of ash. Two high top tables are book matched crotch slabs of ash with turquoise and stone inlay. Due to the slabs unique shape the legs needed to be custom designed and manufactured. They were designed and made by local metalworkers Bub Bryant and Brian Broseus of B & B Welding, Fabrication and Consulting, LLC.

This wood is harvested from the Armfelt Acres Farm. Overall size is 82 x 44 x 29. The finish is a moisture resistant, silky smooth top and live edge design, exquisite... the legs are powdered coated 3" square metal; sturdy and clearly a great complement to the design.

We got our table today and it is absolutely perfect! We expected a beautiful table (the picture does not do it justice), we did not expect that we would be crying together. We knew we were going to order from Mark because his products are amazing. When we found out that he does a promotion and donated to Autism Speaks, it sweetened the deal. Through talking we found out that his grandson has autism and we told him about our Logan. Today he surprised us with a puzzle piece clock to represent autism. This clock means more than he could know! It is going on our mantel above the fireplace (that Mark is making as well!).

We got serious about the wood business several years ago when we harvested trees off of our farm, Armfelt Acres. We kept about 5000 board feet of that lumber and use the treasured wood harvested on our farm for the vast majority of our projects. Our inventory includes: walnut, cherry, ash, and oak for producing traditional to contemporary pieces built to your specification.
